Red Sand Beach

One of the most unique and beautiful beaches in Iceland can be found in the Westfjords. Its name is Rauðisandur, also known as Red Sand Beach is a must-see for anyone visiting the area. The beach gets its name from the red cliffs that surround it. These cliffs are made of lava that has been weathered over time and turned red. The beach itself is covered in black sand, which makes for a stunning contrast.

• Reykjafjarðarlaug: This is a natural thermal pool. Its temperature ranges from more than 50 degrees Celsius. Close to it, there is a second pool; the temperature remains somewhere between 42 to 45 degrees.
• Nauteyrarpottur: Do not be deceived, these names can be hard to pronounce but nothing compares to how relaxed you will be in these hotsprings.
